Strategic Support on Pro Bono and Collaborative Projects

The world of pro bono can be daunting to unravel and very local to your community. How do you utilize pro bono attorneys to help fill the justice gap which continues to grow? Is it the support services you offer, the types of pro bono opportunities, or something completely different? How does your internal staff feel about pro bono attorneys and working with them? We can help sort all of this out and particularly enjoy creating partnerships between existing groups to help minimize the turf wars, for example. How can we help you?

Effective Grants Management

Most folks do not like applying for, managing or even writing grants. The good news is that Collaborative Justice Partners does! Let us help you build relationships with potential foundations and other funders while also helping you strategize and even craft the perfect grant application to help you serve an area in need. One of CJP’s philosophies is that organizations should not grant chase, but rather have their funding align with the organization’s priorities and then seek out grants that compliment those priorities.

Why CJP?

Ericka and Jenn - Collaborative Justice Partners
We know that “consultant” is generally a dirty word. We used to think so too. We also know there are plenty of consultants already in the non-profit law firm world. Our philosophy is that there’s plenty of work for all of us interested in engaging in this type of work. So why hire CJP?
N

We were legal aid lawyers and before that, support staff in law firms and legal aid programs. We were on the ground just like you.

N

We worked for a statewide legal aid funder for over 12 years. We know how to build relationships to help you leverage your limited resources.

N

We firmly believe we’re in this together. Our passion shines through our work everyday.

N

Thanks to our previous work, we’ve built extensive networks and partnerships across the country and access them when needed.

N

We’ve managed hundreds of pro bono attorneys. Our theory? It’s easy to get an attorney to take the first case. The real test is whether they’ll take the second one.

N

It’s our job to manage our client’s expectations. We are transparent about our process from day one. No hiding the ball or surprises.

N

We know that change moves at the speed of trust.

N

We offer flat fees because again, no hiding the ball or surprises.

N

We also recognize that we have to be a good fit for your organization and it’s okay if we’re not.

N

We strongly believe in not reinventing the wheel, if someone else has done it well, let’s try to replicate it.

N

We manage projects exceptionally well to meet timelines, goals, and objectives.

N

We like metrics, another dirty word, but how do you know where you’re going if you don’t have a destination. We help you create the roadmap.

N

We meet you where you are, but you should know we’re change agents.

N

We will celebrate your successes with you. And yes, we know you have some great ones.
